Bimetallic Wear Plates/Strips are not an alloy and copper layers are not electroplating / galvanic coatings but are rather mechanically welded on Aluminium with Copper Strips. Aluminium copper cladded bi-metal (ALCU) comprises copper (Strip metal) cladded on pure Aluminium (base metal). Both metals are diffused together to form an attached whole by a roll bonding process.
Bimetallic Wear Plates/Strips prevent corrosion and oxidation, are safe to use and require very low costs. Bimetallic Wear Plates/Strips are provided by terminals with PVC insulation to provide di-electric strength.
